| Compatibility with the existing antifouling and the condition of this must be identified before selecting and applying the antifouling;
| 1 | If you know which antifouling has been applied: Consult the Compatibility Chart |
2 | If you do not know which antifouling has been applied: Apply Vinyl Primer before the antifouling. |
3 | If the present system is in poor condition: Remove the existing paint until you achieve a sound substrate (paint or original gelcoat). Sand to improve adhesion and apply AntiPest followed by the selected antifouling. |

Selfpolishing
The most efficient antifouling for most type of boats.
Ideal for cruisers and sailing boats. Allows the boat to be stored or trailed without re-painting before launching.
The biocide and the resin are dissolved in a predictable manner. As a result there is always a new, fresh layer of antifouling in contact with the sea water, keeping a regular leaching rate of the biocides throughout the whole service life of the product.

Hard
Abrasion resistant product, easy to sand and ideal for fast motor boats. The binder is insoluble, so the leaching rate of the biocide is not constant. Therefore the performnace decreases progressively throughout the season.

Thin film
Especially suitable for racing sailing yachts. This is a hard antifouling with very low volume solids, providing a thin, hard, smooth film for minimal friction. Avoids "build-up" of antifouling.
